Hair to the Apostolic Pentecostal woman is more than just HAIR, it's considered her glory. There are probably over 100,000 Apostolics here in America and around the world that know about 1 Cor. 11. Here are some things to ponder. Do you believe hair is your glory or do you consider it JUST HAIR?
Did you know that witches won't cut their hair because they try to tap into the power promised to us in 1Cor 11? Do you know why Indians used to scalp their enemies? Do you know why Nuns and Buddhist monks shave their hair? What does tar and feathering mean? Do you know who it was that first starting the hair cutting trend? What date was that? What about the hippie movement?
What significance is there when hair is found at the scene of a crime?
These are the some topics I discuss in my book, MY HAIR MY GLORY. I hope to blog more to help those still struggling with this topic. I quote over 300 resources that I found when researching on the subject.

Sister Jasinski,
ReplyDeleteThere are various people concerned with this doctrine based simply on the Word of God ... which should be our ultimate source.
In Acts 16, Paul and his company were soon followed by a slave girl possessed by a
spirit of divination that made money for her owners through fortune telling. For days she cried out, "These men are the servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation." While true, it annoyed Paul (probably because it was not of her own free will) and he cast the spirit out in the name of Jesus.
Notice Paul could have appealed to the seemingly "truthful" declarations of this "witch" yet does not ... should provide precedence in this matter.
I find it very disturbing that UPCI ministers are appealing to the occult to support this interpretation of 1Cor 11.
ReplyDelete1Cor 11 does not speak of any power that can be tapped into. That sounds so much like something pantheism or some "force" that anyone can tap into. I shudder to think some of us are teaching that.
1Cor 11 does not speak of supernatural power either. The greek word speaks of authority.
The context reveals she is to have a sign of authority on her head because of man was created before woman; that is what "For this reason" refers to...the previous point Paul made.
Of course the rest of the questions are completely irrelevant unless you are not a Christian whose sole rule of faith is the written word of God.
We left Rome with it's extra biblical traditions, why are we now appealing to witches and other sources to prove a doctrine if it is so plainly spelled out in the word.
I would like to see if Daniel Segraves agrees with this view of the woman having power in her hair that witches can tap into by having uncut hair
Sister: I easily see the perversion of Daniel and Jevan. Both object to women having uncut hair as their glory before God, the angels, and the world. They also object to any standard that forbids females from triming or cutting their hair. I perfectly understand your mention of witches and others in their desire to have the power of a holiness woman of God while being slaves to the devil. I understand clearly you are NOT saying Apostolic women/girls have long hair because some witches do. Fot the most part, these are men who want their wives to be Jezebels and they will fight to destroy Apostolic holiness any way they can. You came into the world of blasphemers when you chose to speak up on the glory an Apostolic woman/girl has when she does not cut her hair. Do not let these gainsayers intimidate you or rattle your faith. You have just as much right to speak about a woman's glory before God as they do to rant that this glory is nothing but witchcraft and a magic hair doctrine. They will have their reward. These accusers of the Brethren for holding standards for a female not to cut their hair, will go where their father is going. Be encouraged, Jesus bless you more and more.

What power we have to tap into? I dont see that in scripture. The Bible is silent on this subject, it only says "because of the angels" period, the end. DONT ADD TO THE WORD, AND DONT TAKE AWAY FROM THE WORD. While I do not cut my hair, I also do not believe in this ungodly doctrine of special power, or that I am the keeper of God's glory? Since when does the MIghty God need my helpd?
